Scents and Sensibility

In his 1985 novel Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Patrick Süskind states that, “he who ruled scent ruled the hearts of men.” This is a sentiment which holds truth when placed into the context of fashion. The relationship between perfume and fashion has been a strong one since the twentieth century which saw the birth of fashion designer fragrances. They were referred to as the invisible accessory by merchants and the media, to be worn on special occasions. Then, in 1921, the great couturier, Gabrielle Chanel, set the fashion world on fire when she launched her breakthrough creation, Chanel No. 5. It was the first aldehydic type that is characterised by its rich sparkling quality. It became an overnight sensation and established a new category for the perfume world.

Here at Silver Pink, we have an insatiable appetite for unique fragrances that complement our collection and there is one designer that hits all the right notes and aromas.

T London (T standing for Tea and Travel) is a brand that uses fragrances to bring memories of travel to life. Similar to how Silver Pink’s director Sally sources her fabrics from Cashmere and uses the highest grade raw materials from Mongolia, T-London’s aromas are based on the treasured moments founder and creative director Jayne experiences on her adventures around the globe.

“T London are my memories expressed through fragrance: The bright positivity of the Darrjeeling Hills, the easy balance of the Dimbula Mountains, and the Adrenaline of the Argentinean Plains – it’s the way the light falls, the sounds, the landscape, textures and aromas. Aroma is such an amazing thing, you can almost paint with it. It conjures memories and gives you space to escape to, to pause, reset and move on.”

We present T-London’s signature blends and pair them with pieces from our most popular collections.

Steeped in aromatic essential oils to harmonise the mind and body wherever you are, creating a feeling of calm balance. Wear with our classic cable knit cardigan for that perfect combination of style and simplicity.

“BAOBAB FORESTS UNDER A VAST AFRICAN SKY. BRIGHT COPPER TEA. A PLACE TO REFLECT. THE AIR LADEN WITH ROCK-ROSE, NUTMEG, FRANKINCENSE AND AMBERWOOD. INTENSELY SATISFYING. DEEPLY REASSURING. COMPLETELY PROTECTED.”

Meet Tukuyu, a deeply warming, spiced aroma inspired by our travels to Tanzania’s Great Rift Valley.
